Cindy and Tony are a pair of dynamic documentarians. Their film, Concrete, Steel & Paint, is a moving look at what happens when men in a prison art class agree to collaborate with victims of crime to design a mural about healing. It explores issues of punishment, justice and reconciliation. They view the film as an opportunity to create dialogue, which fits the mission of the tour perfectly.
During our recent interview, they had lots of say on the subjects of documenting such a complex experience, getting access to the PA prison system, and all the work that happens after a film is finished. Thanks for the great chat, Cindy & Tony!
