Meet Stu Maddux

7 Sep

ImageThe first film of the 2012-13 On Screen/In Person tour is Gen Silent, a documentary film by Stu Maddux.

Gen Silent asks six seniors if they will hide their friends, their spouses, their entire lives in order to survive discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender people in the health and nursing care system. Their surprising decisions are captured through intimate access to the lives of people who fought the earliest battles for equality only to be confronted once again by bigotry and intolerance.
